Ane

Ane was our sweet, beautiful, little girl. Just the perfect addition to our family. We met her at a DC SIR event in 2017. We went to this event with the intention of getting more information about the rescue, but Ane kept going up to my youngest daughter asking for pets. She was so taken by her that we decided we would apply for her and her bonded sister, Imo.

Since then, we couldn’t imagine our family without her. She fit right in. She had so much energy. She loved playing with her sister and getting our attention whenever she could. She loved asking for treats. She would always “guide” us to her treat cabinet. With those precious eyes, we couldn’t say no, and we loved spoiling her.

We enjoyed taking her on all our family trips. She made those trips extra special just having her there. Life will be so different without her. We’ll miss her following us around the house, greeting us on the stairs when we come home, inspecting every grocery bag we brought into the house, and barking at all her friends outside our living room window.

This death hit us especially hard because it was so unexpected. In just 4 hours she went from a perfectly healthy dog, to passing away. It’s unbelievable and so devastating. But in time we will be able to reflect on all the good memories we had with her. She is now with Imo, who I know is happy to see her.
