Meet Linden! Hi everyone! My name is Linden, and I’m a sweet male Shiba Inu from the second wave of 20 Shibas rescued as part of the #60ShibasRescue! Our group was given tree-themed names, and my foster mom named me Linden after the linden tree. She also loves a character named Linden from the Cradle book series! All 20 of us were transported together to Shiba HQ, with DC SIR volunteers making the long journey to bring us to safety. I was a little anxious during the ride, but I wasn’t scared. Once we arrived and I had time to decompress, I relaxed and showed everyone what a sweet guy I am. My foster family then picked me up from Shiba HQ and brought me home. I can be nervous when things happen too quickly, and when I’m unsure, I sometimes freeze. My foster family learned to slow down and let me go at my own pace. Once I’m comfortable, I LOVE being touched and happily seek out pets, cuddles, and snuggles. I’m fantastic with body handling! Leashes and walks are still a work in progress. I initially froze when the leash was put on. Luckily, I have a wonderful teacher named Lily! Watching her is helping me figure out walking. I’m doing great with everyone in the house and have been a very chill, friendly, affectionate guy. I enjoy raw food, chicken, and even cheese! I slept quietly through my first night. I may still be learning some things, but overall I’m a pretty easygoing Shiba. Everyone fell in love with me at Shiba HQ, and my foster family quickly understood why. I’m a sweet little guy who loves people, enjoys affection, and is ready to find a forever home. Are you falling in love with me too?
