Casper is an 2 year old, male Shiba Inu. See his Facebook album!

Hi everyone! My name is Casper, and I’m a 2-year-old Shiba Inu. Life’s been a bit of a whirlwind lately. I arrived at the shelter with two female Shibas. One of them is pregnant, so the shelter is keeping her for now. DC SIR said they’ll help the other girl when a foster home opens up. I was lucky enough to find a place with a kind foster family! From the start, I made sure they knew how much love I have to give. I’m super affectionate and happiest when I’m close to my humans. My favorite place to sleep? Snuggled up in bed right next to my foster human sister. I stayed there all night long, curled up like a warm little fox. Even though I’m 2, everyone says I act more like a puppy. I’ve got lots of energy and love to play. I zoom around like a rocket and then crash hard when I’m tired — that’s when the snuggles kick in. I really just want to be loved and give love right back. This morning on our walk, I found the perfect stick and proudly carried it in my mouth the whole time. I still need some work walking on a leash — I get a little excited — but I’m eager to learn. I want to make my people proud, and I know I can do it with a little patience and practice. I’d love a home where I can get attention, playtime, and a whole lot of affection. I’ve got so much joy to share with someone special. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who brings fun, snuggles, and the occasional stick parade, maybe I’m the one for you! I may not have had the easiest start, but I know the best part of my life is still ahead of me. Could you be the one to help me write that happy ending? Please apply to adopt me at www.dcsir.org/adopt. I’ll be waiting for you!
