Clover is a female, cream Shiba Inu. View her Facebook Album.

Hi everyone! My foster family named me Clover since it’s almost St. Patrick’s Day. I’m a 5 year old female Shiba Inu. I was surrendered to a shelter after my previous family realized I wasn’t getting along well with their resident dog and was showing a bit of aggression towards the cat. The shelter environment was really stressful for me, and I had a hard time relaxing there. Thankfully, everything changed when a wonderful volunteer from DC SIR came to pick me up and bring me into rescue. She got me cleaned up, and soon after, my foster family came to take me home. During the car ride, I was calm and curious. When I first arrived, I was a little timid, but I warmed up quickly. I went for a short walk around the neighborhood and stayed by my foster mom’s side. She said I did a great job listening and stopping when asked. After I got settled, I enjoyed my first meal, and it was delicious! I ate every bite. Once things quieted down, I explored the house and discovered I had not one, but THREE cozy beds just for me. I picked my favorite and slept soundly through the night. There are two other dogs here. I was unsure at first, but I’m getting more comfortable with them every day. They’re very calm so it helps a lot. I’m so happy to be out of the shelter and can’t wait to find my forever family! If you think you’re my perfect family, please apply to adopt me.
