Finn is an 4 month old, male Shiba Inu. View his Facebook Album.

Hi everyone, my name is now Finn, which means fair one—a name picked by AI after seeing my photo and hearing about my gentle spirit. I am a 4-month-old male Shiba Inu. I spent the first part of my life living in a cage at a pet store. I was the oldest puppy there, and most people passed me by. One day, a kind person saw me and couldn't leave me behind. She purchased me to rescue me from a life behind glass. She helped me adjust to a real home. I didn’t know how to drink from a bowl—only a water drip! She patiently taught me how to drink, walk on a leash, and play with toys. I learned a lot, but she realized she wasn’t fully prepared for a puppy. Wanting the best life for me, she reached out to DC SIR. Even though they were full with special needs senior dogs, they made room for me. I rode in a puppy booster seat to Shiba HQ, but I still drooled a lot from car sickness. My foster mom let me rest my head in the nook of her arm and said she gets car sick too—so she understood. When I finally arrived at Shiba HQ, I met all the other dogs. I was a little unsure at first, but soon I realized they were friendly and fun! I’ve made so many new friends—cats, dogs, and even chickens!

I’m sweet, gentle, and learning quickly! Potty training and chewing the right things are new to me, but I catch on fast. I’ll thrive with a family who uses positive training and wants to help me grow into a confident boy! Do you have the time, patience, and commitment to help me learn to be a house pup?
