Hi everyone! My name is now Ibiza, and I am named after an Island known for it’s high energy parties. I am a 2-year old female Shiba Inu! I was rescued with 20 other Shibas from a breeder facility, and DC SIR plans to help 40 more Shibas that were left behind after they finished paying for all our vetting. I had a long drive to Shiba HQ, which lasted all night. We arrived soon after the sun came up. I came out of my crate like a wrecking ball ready to explore my new world! Okay, so I have a little hobby… I like to hump things. Dogs, cats, toys — honestly, if it exists, I might try to hump it. I will even zoom inside from outside, find Katniss peacefully sleeping, hump her for approximately three seconds, and zoom right back outside like nothing happened. If another dog tells me, “Hey, enough already!” I might take the hint… eventually. But I'm only 14 pounds, so I have a LOT of energy to get out! I LOVE to play, and Aureus is one of my favorite playmates. We zoom, wrestle and generally have a fabulous time together. I'm super friendly, goofy and social, and I would absolutely love a family who enjoys a high-energy dog with a big personality. Think Labrador energy… stuffed into a tiny Shiba package! I should also tell you that I have a VERY big voice for such a little girl. Sometimes I like to have nighttime conversations with the entire neighborhood. My foster humans think I might sleep much more quietly if I could snuggle in bed with my person, because really, what's the point of barking when you're cuddled up with your favorite human? I'm tiny. I'm hilarious. I'm VERY busy. And I have absolutely no idea what the words “personal space” mean. If you have the energy and a friendly dog, I will enrich your life!
