Jinu is an 8 year old, male Shiba Inu. View his Facebook Album.

My name is Jinu. My foster family named me after a character in the anime K-Pop: Demon Hunters. They liked that “Jinu” rhymes with “Inu,” which means dog in Japanese! I was found as a stray and taken to a shelter. Luckily, DC SIR stepped in to help. A kind volunteer drove all day to pick me up and bring me to safety. I stayed calm and relaxed through the whole journey. When I arrived, I got a much-needed bath and nail trim. Even though it was all new to me, I was calm the entire time. I let them wash me, brush me (so much fur came off!), and trim my very long nails. I wasn’t too sure about having my paws held, but I patiently let them trim them all, and I feel so much better now. When my foster family came to pick me up, I was so happy! I rolled over for belly rubs right away. On the car ride home, I relaxed and even took a nap. Once we got to the house, I was excited to explore. They have another Shiba, and she seems really chill. I think we’re going to be great foster siblings. Dinner was delicious. I ate it all up! I’m super curious and had fun watching my foster parents cook. That night, I slept peacefully in my crate. I was tired from such a big day and slept straight through the night. My foster family noticed I have some darkened skin from a past irritation, but no signs of an active allergy. They are treating it, and I’m already feeling more comfortable. I’m so happy to be out of the shelter and in a safe, loving home. I can’t wait to meet my forever family. If you think we’re a good fit, please apply for me!
