Hi everyone! My name is Nara, and I’m a fun-loving, high-energy 3-year-old red female Shiba who is always ready for some action! I’m one of the 20 Shibas who came in during the second wave of the #60ShibasRescue, and our group was given tree-themed names. I was named after the Nara tree, a beautiful tree known for its spreading branches and bright green leaves.A DC SIR volunteer picked me up, and I had a very long car ride to Shiba HQ with some of the other Shibas. but when I finally I arrived, I was ready to stretch my legs and have some fun! After such a long ride, getting outside and running around felt pretty great. I LOVE to run and play! Have you seen me with my favorite boys, Ranger and Aureus? We zoom around, chase each other, and have an absolute blast! I definitely seem to prefer playing with the boys, and they really bring out my playful side. Because I enjoy them so much, I think I’d be happiest as an only dog or with a friendly male companion. I’ve also been good with kids, so little humans are just fine with me. I’m okay with cats indoors, too, although outdoor cats are another story. I WILL chase them! I’m an active girl who would love a family ready to keep me busy with walks, playtime, exploring, and plenty of opportunities to burn off my energy. I’m happiest when I’m moving, playing, and having fun. I may not be the best match for someone looking for a quiet couch potato, but I’m perfect for someone who wants a fun, playful Shiba with lots of personality. I’m ready to find my forever family and keep them smiling with my zoomies, enthusiasm, and love of life!
