Ryoshi is a 1 year old, female red Shiba Inu. View her Facebook Album.
Hi everyone, my name is now Ryoshi, a name that was picked by a Facebook fan! I am a tiny 1-year-old red female Shiba Inu. DC SIR was contacted because my family was about to be evicted, and I lived outside in a crate in case the landlord changed the locks before my owners got home from work. Shiba HQ planned to take a couple of weeks off for family reasons, but saw my story and immediately started working on my transport. In just under 24 hours, I was safely at Shiba HQ thanks to volunteers who took the entire day to drive me across multiple states to safety. Once I arrived at Shiba HQ, I was very scared of my surroundings. My tail was down, and I ran away from anyone who tried to get close to me. I was interested in meeting the other friendly dogs and cats. I arrived late at night, and it took my foster mom nearly an hour to catch me and bring me inside. Once she did pick me up, she comforted me in a soft voice. But I didn’t really trust her until she brought out the boiled chicken! It was so yummy that I followed her everywhere, hoping for more. I am VERY skinny. Too thin to get my spay (3/9 score). So DC SIR is working on getting me to a healthy weight so I can safely make it through my spay. In the meantime, I absolutely love my raw food diet, which is filled with delicious food for my health and microbiome. I get along with cats, dogs, and kids! My temperament is skittish, but I am building confidence with the help of friendly dogs. DC SIR will let you know more about me as they get me healthy enough for my surgery. Please follow and share my story to help me find my home.
