Tobi is an 4 year old, male Shiba Inu. See his Facebook album!
Hi, my name is Tobi, which mean to leap/fly in Japanese. I’m a 4-year-old male Shiba Inu, and my life has changed a lot recently. My owner passed away suddenly. I waited for him, but he didn’t come back. His parents took me in, but they already had dogs and couldn’t keep me. They wanted the best for me, so they reached out to DC SIR to help me find a new home. When I met my foster parents, I jumped up to greet them. The car ride to Maryland went well — I laid down in my crate and slept most of the way. I didn’t make much noise. When we got to my foster home, I stretched my legs and explore the neighborhood. It felt good to move around again. I met my foster fursisters. They were nice, and we checked Iout the yard together. Then I went inside and looked around the house. I met the rest of my human foster family and their friends. Everyone was happy to meet me, and I wagged my tail to show I was happy to meet them too. Later, I had dinner. I didn’t eat all of it — I’m still adjusting and a little unsure. It’s been a big change, but I think I’ll settle in soon. I may not know exactly what’s next, but I’m ready for a new beginning with someone who wants to share their life with me. If you’re looking for a dog who will be loyal and grateful, maybe I’m your match. DC SIR was told that I am good with dogs, cats, and kids! I’m a really sweet boy that can adjust to just about any environment. I just got to my foster home so they will let you know if there are any more updates on my personality. I am medically cleared for adoption! If you think we could be a good fit, please apply to adopt me at [www.dcsir.oprg/adopt](http://www.dcsir.oprg/adopt). I’m waiting for my forever family. Could that be you?
