Hi everyone! My name is Wiley, and one of my fans on Instagram suggested my name. I think it’s perfect because I look a little like a coyote. I’m a 3 year old male. I came to DC SIR after living in a home where I wasn’t getting along with the other dogs, so they couldn’t keep me. My foster mom picked me up, and she told me I did really well on the ride home. I was a little nervous going into the house at first, but I settled down eventually and got to explore everything. They put a harness on me, which I wasn’t too sure about, especially since I don’t like my head being touched. My foster family helped me feel safe and relaxed, and before I knew it, the harness was on! I’m a very sweet boy who absolutely loves people, and I’ve already shown that I enjoy a good game of tug. I’m not the cuddliest type right now and I don’t sleep in the bed, but I was very quiet all night and found the couch to be the perfect spot to get comfortable. This morning, I decided to let everyone know I have a voice, so I’ve been barking and even howling when no one is downstairs with me. I’m still figuring out food. The raw diet is a little new to me, so I haven’t eaten too much just yet. But the little bit I had was delicious. I’m good on a leash and don’t react to other dogs. I’ve already gone potty outside a couple of times. You can even pick me up without any trouble. One thing that’s clear is that I don’t get along well with other dogs, so my forever home will need to be one where I can be the only dog. What I do know for sure is how much I love people, and I can’t wait until the day I meet my forever family and get to share all my love with them.
